Everything in Moderaton...including the Chowder

So I am commuting to work this AM, in the Alewife Station, and a rather rotund woman is stuck in the turnstile.  An MBTA employee gave her a budge and she was off..or waddling off.  Anyway, I would think that would be a wake-up call.  If you cannot sit on an airline seat, walk thru a revolving door, or walk thru any door, maybe, just maybe it is time to take action?  The major pharma companies just love this stuff....

They Have My Number

When you love clam chowder, friends and family realize it makes THE PERFECT gift.  I received this canned gourmet chowder from my mother-in-law for my birthday last December.  Will give a report, as I have yet to heat it up!

Runny Nose on Narrow Gauge?

I learned while skiing at Sugarloaf over Christmas break, that the Superquad lift line goes through 4 boxes of Kleenex on a given ski day.  That seems low, but many opt not to stop to wipe with tissue, using gloves or mittens instead.  I definitely opt for the mitten wipe, but only on a must-wipe basis on descents.

Happy New Year.

Boys will be boys in the great white north...

This could just as well occur in Bridgton, ME.  Heck, once you get your blood thinned for the coming frost, it's all relative.

Why the 4Cs?

I am engaged in climate change action, by conducting business with companies that are positioned for a major secular trend: profiting from climate change mitigation and adaptation. My favorite food? Clam chowder. Chowder is also a metaphor for life. No bowl of chowder is alike. Chowder is a veritable stew; a direct reflection of the creator. Stay tuned, as I intend to dive into random thoughts from my activities in environmental circles, bike commuting and general cycling, and tales from New England chairlift conversations in alpine locales.

Tales from a suburban Dad's perspective as he travels through rural Maine. Yes, I am "from away", and am fascinated by general stores, and clam chowder.

More to come. Take good care.
